CBI Lodges FIR In National Eligibility Test Answer-Sheet Scam

  The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a case against a senior official of CBSE – Antriksh Johri, Kapil Soorma, the representative of Venus Digital Service and Venus Digital Service (Karol Bagh) along with some other unidentified officials of CBSE for alleged corruption, criminal conspiracy and criminal misconduct. The future of 7.94 lakh aspirants who appeared in NET this year is at risk as the private firm who was given contract to scan the answersheets had not been able to complete the work. The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts a no. of examinations throughout the year and NET is one amongst them. This year it was conducted on January 22 at total 500 centres across the country and the contract to scan the answersheets of some examination centres was given to Venus Digital Service. CBI files FIR against CBSE officials in National Eligibility Test scam

   The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR against Director (IT) of the CBSE Antriksh Johri, the representative of Venus Digital Service and Venus Digital Service, Kapil Soorma, besides some other unidentified officials of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in connection with the National Eligibility Test (NET) scam. The FIR has been made on the allegation that the NET this year seemed to be hanging in the balance, as the private firm which was given the contract to scan the answer sheets had not been able to complete the work, prompting the CBI to file an FIR against it. The CBI has also collected documents from the CBSE office, but the agency officially didn't divulge any details about the searches.
