Why is Sandhu not appearing before the police? Is he being framed

Lt Col Baljit Singh Sandhu (retd), chairman of WWICS Group  and owner of Forest Hill Resort in Nayagaon, near Chandigarh  is under the scanner in a weird case where a dead body has been found in Pinjore – a good 30 kilometres away from the resort he owns. The Mohali police have arrested three Forest Hill Resort employees in the case. As per reports, Sandhu’s name has also been included in the FIR though no charges have been pressed against him. A case under Sections 302 (murder), 201(destruction of evidence) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at the Nayagaon police station. The Punjab director general of police (DGP) has now constituted a three-member special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the murder.
Victim Abhishek Guleria, 28, a Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) employee. had gone missing after visiting a relative’s house in Nayagaon on March 14. His body was recovered from along the Pinjore Baddi road on March 25. During questioning in the area, the Mohali police zeroed in on the Forest Hill Resort employees — liasoning officer Gurdeep Bains, his assistant Tarsem Singh and security in-charge Balwinder Singh. The three alleged they had found Guleria’s body in the tank of resort’s sewage treatment plant, following which they informed Sandhu, who asked them to dispose of the body to avoid controversy. The trio allegedly wrapped the body and drove to the Pinjore-Baddi road in a small truck to dump it on the night of March 22.
Senior superintendent of police at Mohali (SSP) Kuldeep Singh Chahal shared with media, “We have arrested three employees of Forest Hill Resort. The victim’s body has been sent to Patiala for postmortem. We have raided Sandhu’s house but it was locked.” Police even summoned Sandhu for questioningbut he didn’t turn up. Meanwhile, court sent the three employees to two-day police remand for further questioning. As per reports, investigators have a footage of closed-circuit television that show Guleria passing the front gate of the resort.  How he reached inside the resort remains a mystery.  The pickup truck used to dispose of the body has been seized.  A daily from Chandigarh has reported that Guleria was working as a part time accountant with the resort. While another daily carried the statement of corporate head of the resort.  Digvijay Jamwal is reported to have said, “After committing the crime, someone deliberately dumped the body in the resort. The security in-charge came to know about it because of the foul smell and decided to dump the body at a faraway place.”

Baljit Singh Sandhu kept on switching hideouts

MOHALI   :   World Wide Immigration Consultancy Services   (WWICS) chairman Lieutenant Colonel Baljit Singh Sandhu (retd) has told police that he stayed in Kolkata, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh over the past 51 days of being on the run. Police wanted to grill Sandhu since Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) employee Abhishek Guleria (28) was found dead at his resort called Forest Hill Golf and Country Club. Sandhu surrendered on May 16, after which he was arrested and charged under Section 304-A (causing death by negligence) and 201 (disappearance of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
